After graduating from the School of Medicine at the University of Maryland, Dr. Snyder completed his Medical Internship at Charity Hospital (Tulane University) in New Orleans and his Neurology Residency at the University of Maryland Hospital.  Following this clinical training he was a Research Fellow at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which was funded by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Dr. Snyder then spent several years working in what was probably one of the first comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Centers in the country at St. Barnabas Hospital (Bronx).  Following that, he joined N.Y. Neurological Associates P.C., and has since been engaged in the practice of Neurology for over thirty years.

Dr. Snyder is presently on the Attending Staff at NY Hospital Queens (NYHQ), NY Hospital (Manhattan), and Lenox Hill Hospital.  He has served as the Director of Neurology at NYHQ, President of the Medical Staff at NYHQ, and on the Board of Trustees of  NYHQ.  He is also a former Chair of the Clinical Advisory Committee of the NYC Chapter of the National MS Society, and continues to serve on that committee.  He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the NYC Chapter.  In addition, Dr. Snyder is the Director of the Comprehensive MS Center at NYHQ.

Dr. Snyder is on the faculties of the Weill Cornell Medical College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in the field of Neurology.
